When you upload photographs for you listing, two things happen:
- A "thumbmail" image is generated for the uploaded picture (this is the small image that is displayed in search results, browse results, and your listing's photo gallery)
- Your original image is resized to a maximum of 395x395 pixels (this is the full-sized image that appears in the listing's photo gallery)
The VacationPads Photo Management System will only scale-down pictures that are greater than 395x395 pixels; any uploaded photographs that are smaller than this size will not be resized by the system. When we scale-down photographs, the image quality can be retained and a goodlooking full-sized picture can be generated. However, if a very small (thumbnail-sized) image is provided as the source image during upload, scaling-up would cause a drastic distortion of the image such that it is almost unrecognizable.
If you see that some of your pictures in "full-size" view are not any larger than the generated thumbnail image, you'll want to check the source image (the one you uploaded) to verify that this is, in fact, a fairly large image.
