Feedback Policy
Guest feedback is vital to promoting and maintaining trust and confidence in the vacation rental industry. The Guest Feedback System at VacationPads.com is designed to help future renters of vacation rental properties make educated and informed decisions regarding individual properties.
The following guidelines provide a set of standards for using the Guest Feedback System on the VacationPads.com website. Your use of this Site constitutes acceptance of these guidelines, and all other terms set forward in the Terms of Service and related policy agreements.
Who may leave feedback?
Any individual who has rented a vacation rental that is listed with VacationPads may leave guest feedback, providing they are issued a feedback key by the owner or manager of the property. Guest feedback cannot be left without the feedback key.
Owners/managers of vacation rentals listed with VacationPads are encouraged to provide a feedback key to renters after payment has been received in-full for a reservation. However, owners/managers of vacation rentals are under no obligation to provide a feedback key to a renter. Therefore, if you are considering a rental at a VacationPads property, you are encouraged to specifically ask vacation rental owners/managers if will issue you a feedback key providing you book a rental, and to actively ask for the feedback key once you have paid for your rental. VacationPads will not, under any circumstance, issue feedback keys on behalf of property owners/managers.
Abuse of the Guest Feedback System
RENTERS OF VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES
You are solely responsible for any feedback you leave for any property listed with VacationPads. VacationPads does not censor nor investigate guest feedback for accuracy. When leaving feedback, please remember that all feedback becomes a permanent part of a property's feedback profile. It is extremely important that you use good judgment and exercise caution to avoid any possible legal ramifications. You should avoid terms such as "liar","cheat","fraudulent","fraud","scam artist", etc. in your textual feedback. If a court determines that your feedback is libelous, slanderous or defamatory, you will solely be responsible for any damages that may result.
Prior to leaving any negative feedback, you are strongly encouraged to contact the owner/manager of the property and try and resolve any differences. Vacation rental owners/managers usually take great pride in their offerings and are usually receptive and open to correcting an unpleasant situation.
OWNERS OF VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES
You are solely responsible for monitoring feedback for your property to ensure it is authentic and valid.
All feedback that is left for your properties is permanent and cannot be edited or deleted. You should exercise caution in issuing your feedback keys to renters. As a general rule, you should only provide renters with feedback keys once they have paid for their rental in-full.
In the event that your property receives negative feedback, you are prohibited from creating another listing to replace the original listing. Should we determine that property replacements have occurred, your membership may be terminated immediately and you will be banned from further use of the Site.
Feedback Removal
VacationPads reserves the right to remove feedback if any of the following circumstances are found to prevail:
  1. Feedback contains profanity or vulgar language.
  2. Feedback is harassing or abusive.
  3. Feedback contains links, promotional advertisements, or pictures.
  4. Feedback was mistakenly left for a certain property listing, yet was intended for another property listing.
  5. There is a court order demanding that certain feedback be removed.
  6. Feedback is left by an individual who provided false registration information in their profile and cannot be contacted.
If, as a vacation rental owner who lists properties with VacationPads, you determine that one or several of the above conditions exist, you must contact us and alert us of the issue. We will conduct our own investigation of the feedback, and take appropriate action based on our investigation.
